Each and every one of our projects has unique parameters requiring us to take an innovative approach to environmental efficiency. Our services include an added level of review and analysis for all of our projects to increase energy & resource efficiency, reduce lifecycle costs and minimize environmental impact and the risk in a rapidly changing regulatory world. The Environmental Efficiency Team is lead by Senior Consultant, Dan Richardson.
Environmental Efficiency - We consult on the primary environmental issues inherent in development projects such as water quality, water conservation, and resource efficient building. We can also provide LEED® AP services.
Energy Management - From new development to existing facilities, we assist organizations in managing energy use and costs. This can include municipal facilities, commercial buildings, vehicle fleets as well as integrating energy management into regulatory code and organizational policies.
Climate Mitigation Strategies - We assist municipalities and businesses in developing a comprehensive plan to reduce global warming pollution. This typically includes creating a baseline of emissions and a strategy to cost-effectively monitor and reduce emissions.
Mechanical Engineering - With the addition of Tony Haschke to the team, SGM has expanded into the field of mechanical engineering. Tony is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Engineering Intern.
