Schmueser Gordon Meyer, Inc.: Western Hillside

This Vail Resorts project required construction of a 130 acre-foot, six acre reservoir for snowmaking at Beaver Creek Ski Resort. A lined reservoir was imperative due to a constrained site and to ensure minimal water loss. SGM designed the intake structure at Eagle River - the water source for the reservoir. Extensive design, project management and construction services were also required, including dam approval through the Colorado Division of Water Resources, a hydrology report, a hazard class report, flood inundation mapping documents and construction and record documents.
