The SGM team developed and studied several multi-modal alternatives -from transit-only lanes to reversible lanes to peak-hour lane restrictions - for improving traffic conditions in and out of downtown Aspen, while still utilizing the existing highway alignment. Project also included design of roadway, bus stop, crosswalk, signal and sidewalk improvements based on city council and staff recommendations.
