Asphalt Pavements Presentation - Salida

Asphalt Pavements - Preventative Maintenance and New Technologies Workshop

This workshop is intended to provide a general understanding of the relatively new product “Warm Mix Asphalt” which can be utilized in place of the traditional Hot Mix Asphalt. The advantages of extended haul times and lower temperatures make this a cost-effective alternative for Western Colorado. The presentations on full depth reclamation and pavement maintenance technologies are particularly timely given today’s limited budgets. These sessions are designed to provide the Public Works Director, Maintenance Supervisor and Road/Street Foreman with the latest pavement strategies to assist them in making informed decisions. The speakers will provide information related to the engineering and science behind pavement technologies and preventative maintenance and how these choices can help extend the life of your pavements.
