Principal, Pitkin County Team Leader of Schmueser Gordon Meyer, Inc.

With over 25 years of experience working in the Aspen, Colorado area, Jay Hammond leads SGM's engineering and surveying efforts in the upper Roaring Fork valley as the Pitkin County Team Leader. A graduate of Tufts University, Jay received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1975. He worked for the City of Aspen for over 11 years, ultimately as the Public Works Director and City Engineer, before joining SGM in 1989. Today he is responsible for the coordination of activities in the upper Roaring Fork Valley including projects in surveying, municipal, traffic, water and wastewater, land use review and general civil engineering.
